Whether you need an additional account for operational reasons or to separate business functions, this guide will walk you through the process of opening a second account.
Opening an Account in Online & Mobile Banking
These steps apply only to clients on our Business Banking platform, not our commercial banking platform.
For Businesses with the Same EIN
- Login to online or mobile banking
- Select Open a New Account in the Services menu
- Click Apply Now below the account you wish to open
- Fill out the form & click Continue
- Provide the secure one-time passcode
- Enter your social to verify your identity
- Click Next
- Select your business in the dropdown menu
- Click Continue
- Set up your initial deposit
- Click Continue.
For Businesses with a Different EIN
- Login to online or mobile banking
- Select Open a New Account in the Services menu
- Click Apply Now below the account you wish to open
- Fill out the form & click Continue
- Provide the secure one-time passcode
- Enter your social to verify your identity
- Click Next
- Click the drown menu to select your business
- Select Add New Business
- Click Continue
- Fill out the form & submit your application.
Note: To set up your initial funding deposit, you will have the option to select from a saved account or add a new funding source. A minimum deposit of $100 is required to open a new account. For your security, this deposit may be held for up to five business days while we complete necessary verification checks. To avoid delays in the availability of your funds, we recommend funding the account with the minimum amount initially and transferring any additional funds after the account is open.
Opening an Account Without Logging into Online & Mobile Banking
These steps apply to all clients, regardless of which digital banking platform you are using.
For Businesses with the Same EIN
- Visit our application hub
- Enter the email address you used to open your first Grasshopper account
- Enter the secure one-time passcode sent to your email
- Enter your social security number to verify your identity
- Click Next
- Click Open a New Account
- Click Apply Now below the account you wish to open
- Select your business in the dropdown menu
- Click Continue
- Set up your initial deposit
- Click Continue.
For Businesses with a Different EIN
- Visit our application hub
- Enter your email address you used to open your first Grasshopper account
- Enter the secure one-time passcode sent to your email
- Enter your social security number to verify your identity
- Click Next
- Click Open a New Account
- Click Apply Now below the account you wish to open
- Click the drown menu to select your business
- Select Add New Business
- Click Continue
- Fill out the form & submit your application.
